A PART TIME TEACHER OR STUDENT TEACHER

Are you an educator with a heart and desire to help at risk teenage girls succeed and become the women God’s called them to be?
Grace Place School, a private, Christian alternative school is hiring a teacher to lead our academic program currently serving six at risk teen girls.
Instruction is individualized for each student utilizing both teacher and computer directed instruction. We use a home school model.
This is also a great opportunity for a student teacher placement whereas you would be supervised by a licensed ESE teacher with 20 plus years of experience. However, as a student teacher you must possess effective behavior management skills and be willing to learn additional strategies in dealing with a behaviorally challenging population.
A current teaching license is preferred but not required. Experience in educating at risk and behaviorally challenged youth is a plus. A belief and adherence to a Biblical worldview is required. All candidates must be able to pass a Level 2 background check.
Details
- Part time: 20 hrs/week
- Class Instruction: Monday – Thursday, 9am – 1pm at Art Serve in Ft. Lauderdale
- Additional 4 hours of prep and/or team meeting time each week.
- Available immediately through May 30, 2019
