
VOLUNTEER Ministry POSITIONS

Grace Place School offers full-time and part-time urban ministry opportunities designed to support vulnerable teens in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
If you feel called to serve at-risk youth, joining the Grace Place family could be your next step. As part of our team, you’ll provide guidance, education, and God’s love in practical and impactful ways.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Inspire learning through creative instruction tailored to meet diverse educational needs. Mentor and guide students toward achieving their short- and long-term goals.
Qualifications: Creativity, ability to inspire and mentor diverse learners, and experience in education or tutoring. A teaching license is preferred but not required.

Equip teens with essential life and job skills, including financial literacy, conflict resolution, career exploration, and job coaching.
Qualifications: Strong communication skills and experience in life skills training or career development.

Help students find and retain employment by building partnerships with local businesses and providing on-the-job support and mentorship.
Qualifications: Relationship-building skills, familiarity with job application processes, and an ability to give constructive feedback.

CREATIVE AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING

Develop programs in music, drama, photography, culinary arts, or computer skills. Work with students directly or recruit volunteer instructors.
Qualifications: Expertise or interest in one or more creative fields and the ability to engage and inspire students.

Guide students in creating small business enterprises from planning to implementation, providing hands-on entrepreneurial experience.
Qualifications: Experience in entrepreneurship or business development, and the ability to teach practical skills.

Oversee the daily operations of Grace Place’s enterprise, managing budgets, customer service, and student employees while fostering a positive learning environment.
Qualifications: Business management experience, patience in training, and strong organizational skills.

SUPPORT ROLES

Offer hands-on support across various areas, from food prep to transportation and supervision, ensuring the program runs smoothly.
Qualifications: A servant’s heart, strong problem-solving skills, a teachable spirit, and the ability to maintain a positive, upbeat environment.

Create compelling marketing materials for print, email, and social media, promoting the mission of Grace Place and increasing engagement.
Qualifications: Creativity, experience in marketing and design, and the ability to write compelling content.

Provide individual and family counseling based on Biblical principles, helping teens and families apply faith to their challenges.
Qualifications: Counseling or life coaching experience and the ability to guide others with discernment and empathy.

Support Grace Place’s mission by cultivating donor relationships and organizing fundraising events.
Qualifications: Fundraising and event planning experience, creativity, and attention to detail. Experience in grant writing is a plus.

Commitment and Qualifications
Timeframe | Positions are ideally a commitment of 6–12 months to build trust and make a lasting impact.
Age Requirement | Applicants must be 20 or older. Retired professionals are encouraged to apply.
Background Check | Candidates selected for an assignment must pass a Level 2 security background check before acceptance.
Faith Alignment | Missionaries must agree to our statement of Christian faith and live a lifestyle in step with that faith statement.

Financial Support and Housing
Positions are unpaid. Missionaries raise support through churches or Reliant Ministries, with Grace Place offering assistance in securing affordable housing when needed.
